Lady Gaga’s video for Born this Way is Bernard Herrmann’s score for Vertigo mixed with Aliens’s visuals and a Dantean cosmology. That’s the intro. Then we get to see Gaga’s highly toned new body and a reaffirmation that she’s not a born dancer. She does have some pipes, loves Madonna and mixing disco and electronica. That’s much more than I can say about Dr Dre’s latest single and video which share a label, Gaga’s ambition but nothing else.
